A medium pressure UV lamp system combines a compact design with a high lamp power.
The VGE Pro product range has low pressure and medium pressure UV lamp based systems. The medium pressure UV lamps emits a wide spectrum of Ultraviolet (UV) light which not only gives very good disinfection results but is also excellent for photolysis applications like the reduction of chloramine in pool applications. The single ended lamp in combination with the S.B.T. and the on-chamber visual lamp status indication makes the systems extremely user friendly. We offer three different systems with medium pressure UV lamps: MultiMax, 600-85 Compact and the 600-85 Comfort.
Single End Bayonet Technology (S.B.T.)
The lamp base is equipped with a bayonet technology closure. The lamp itself is single-ended which not only makes it easy to install and replace but also requires service space at only one side of the irradiation chamber.
The MultiMax is a perfect choice for private pools. The 2’’ BSPT male thread makes it easy to install in a pool system. It’s provided with a 400 W single ended lamp.
The 600-85 Compact is equipped with a 600 W UV Lamp, therefore it is more powerful than the MultiMax. In combination with the DN80 flange connections the system is suitable for (semi) public and professional installations.
The 600-85 Comfort is equipped with a 600 W UV lamp and is suitable for a UV sensor, temperature sensor or ModBus. In combination with the DN80 flange connections the system is suitable for (semi) public and professional installations.

A Medium Pressure UV System is always composed of a UV irradiation chamber and a control panel. The irradiation chamber is equipped with one medium pressure UV lamp which combines a compact design with a high lamp power.
An inline design of the irradiation chamber has been chosen with a UV lamp placed perpendicular to the direction of the flow. This in order to obtain a good irradiation of the water in combination with a very low hydraulic pressure loss. The design choice of the irradiation chamber in combination with the medium pressure UV lamp is tailored to the application to realize the best possible water treatment result, disinfection or chloramine reduction wise.
