Water quality is very important to guarantee food safety. UV-C disinfection inactivates pathogenic microorganisms and thus guarantees safety. In addition, a VGE Pro UV system also makes it possible to reuse water. This saves costs and increases the sustainability of an organization. Apart from water treatment, UV can also be used to disinfect surfaces, such as the conveyor belt for products or packaging.

UV-C for safe process water
Pathogens are disease-causing microorganisms that pollute water and can spoil a product. A UV-C system from VGE Pro ensures safe (process) water and inactivates microorganisms that can be harmful to the product. For example, the UV system can support in guaranteeing food safety and extend the shelf life of a product.

Constant water quality
For products that largely consist of water or, for example, are often washed during the process, the water quality must meet all requirements. Think for example, of water used in soft drinks, for the brewing process of beer or for washing water of vegetables during the process stage. Water treatment with UV-C disinfection ensures that the quality of the water is constantly guaranteed. It is also very suitable to treat water before it is reused. The water is disinfected after use, making it free of pathogenic microorganisms and thus safe for reuse. This prevents water wastage and can reduce water costs.

VGE Pro UV-C systems
A VGE Pro UV-C system is a modular system that can be connected to a water treatment plant. The system can be controlled by a fully monitored operating system. This ensures that the water used in the process is always safe and disinfected. By using a UV sensor, the quality can also be guaranteed, so that there is certainty that the measured intensity is sufficient for the desired disinfection.

UV-C reduces the risk of contamination
UV-C reduces the risk of contamination by inactivating pathogens. In addition to water, UV is also perfectly usable for surface and air disinfection. Microorganisms easily adhere to surfaces and are sometimes difficult to remove. For example, process lines cannot always be cleaned with water and/or chemical agents. Different types of surfaces can be disinfected with a VGE Pro UV system. Think of the treatment of a conveyor belt on which meat is transported or packaging materials such as (butter) tubs or bottles.
