About the customer
Our relation is Europe’s leading brand for fresh water generation systems and services for superyachts. Their range of units covers all requirements; from smaller yachts to the largest ultra-rugged duplex units for superyachts, capable of high sustained output under continuous operation. The high service level includes, for instance, system design, installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance, testing, and analysis.

The challenge
Water treatment units used, turn seawater into technical and potable water. The equipment also has to disinfect water stored inside tanks, adjust its hardness, and mineralize fresh water created or stored. With regard to the disinfection of the water, they approached us for the best, tailormade solution.

The solution
The solution consists of three models in an SS 316L irradiation chamber, capable of handling flows between 4 – 20 m³/h. The systems have a robust design and include our SPT (Smart Pin Technology) lamps so that the engineers can safely replace the lamps without shutting down the flow.

The chambers have been designed according to a previous model ensuring the possibility of retrofitting it in existing yachts without changing the design of the skid.

Every model comes preconfigured and includes a calibrated UV-C sensor so that it offers optimal disinfection.

The UV systems are based on amalgam low-pressure pressure UV-lamps which excel through high efficiency low power consumption and a long maintenance life of 16.000 hrs.
